Crunchyroll is set to launch a new collection of merchandise inspired by the popular anime series, Chainsaw Man. This limited-release drop will be exclusively available to Ultra and Mega Fan subscribers of the streaming service starting August 25.
The collection draws inspiration from the "movement, chaos, and contrast" featured in the first season of the Chainsaw Man anime. It includes a variety of apparel such as t-shirts, hoodies, hats, and socks, alongside an Angry Pochita plush toy and three new lightboxes. Apparel items range in price from $20 to $120, with designs varying from full scenes from the show to more subtle graphics featuring the Public Safety Division logo and the quote "Easy revenge!" Pochita imagery is also prominent throughout the collection.
Much of the merchandise utilizes a color palette of black and grey with red accents, creating a moody aesthetic. The lightboxes, priced at $40 each, offer a more vibrant contrast, featuring depictions of Chainsaw Man, Power, and Pochita. Many items will also be presented in specially designed Chainsaw Man-themed packaging as part of the limited-release experience.
This drop marks a significant change for the Crunchyroll Store, which now operates on a subscriber-exclusive model. Items in this collection will only be available while supplies last, and Crunchyroll has indicated that sold-out items are unlikely to be restocked. Fans interested in purchasing from the collection should visit the Crunchyroll Store at 9 a.m. PST/12 p.m. EST on August 25.
Chainsaw Man, based on Tatsuki Fujimoto's manga, recently concluded its manga run with Chapter 232. The anime adaptation's first season was praised for its "darkly comedic and gut-filled tale" and "prestige TV look." Following Season 1 and a movie adaptation of the Reze Arc, the anime is slated to return to a series format with MAPPA actively developing the International Assassins Arc.
