Dimension 20 is set to return to Dropout with a new six-episode season titled "Toylight," premiering on September 16. The popular tabletop roleplaying show will feature the returning cast known as the Intrepid Heroes, including Emily Axford, Ally Beardsley, Brian Murphy, Zac Oyama, Siobhan Thompson, and Lou Wilson.
In "Toylight," the Intrepid Heroes will embody toys engaged in a conflict against the titular "enchanted Toylight," described as the last vestiges of a child's fading imagination. The trailer introduces some of the characters and their toy counterparts, such as Lou Wilson's ax-wielding Lion in a leotard named Wyon, Emily Axford's muscular infant Cutie Pie, and Zac Oyama's toy soldier Tinsley.
For this season, the game's set and board have been designed with a colorful and creative aesthetic, transforming classic children's toys and building blocks into a battlefield. Dungeon Master Brennan Lee Mulligan's miniatures, including thimbles, are depicted wielding weapons, with one thimble character exclaiming, "I'm gonna put my drumstick up their asses!"
The "Toylight" campaign follows previous 2026 seasons "Gladlands" and "City Council of Darkness." Like "Gladlands," "Toylight" will be a shorter campaign comprising six episodes, with new installments airing every Wednesday on Dropout.
This season's premiere continues a busy year for Dropout, which has focused on experimentation and innovation. The streaming service has also recently expanded its offerings with original and licensed animation, a successful Kickstarter for a "Game Changer" at-home game, a puppet show, and physical releases of its flagship series "Game Changer."
