Hideo Kojima, who famously stated his body is 70% made of movies, has reviewed Zach Cregger's satirical black comedy "Digger," starring Tom Cruise, labeling it a film that "all of us living in today's world should see." Kojima described the movie as "a work that remains with the audience, provoking reflection and sounding alarms."
While Kojima did not delve into specific plot details in his review, likely to avoid spoiling the film's surprises, he emphasized its lasting impact. "As you absorb this film and carry it with you, a 'tool (a digger)' for delving deeper into the future will surely begin to take shape within you," he stated.
"Digger" has garnered a wide range of reviews and struggled at the box office, earning only $37 million globally. Warner Bros., the studio behind the film, adjusted its marketing strategy to lean into the movie's divisive nature, encouraging audiences to form their own opinions.
Kojima is currently working on upcoming games "OD" and "Physint" for Xbox. "Physint" is also slated for film and television adaptation, and Kojima's "Death Stranding" is being adapted for the big screen.
