A new art book, Marvel Artist Archive: Jim Lee, is set to highlight the seminal Marvel work of artist Jim Lee, a period that saw him define an era of superhero comics. Though now known as the President, Publisher, and Chief Creative Officer of DC Comics, Lee rose to prominence in the early days of Image Comics, with significant contributions to Marvel titles such as Uncanny X-Men, The Punisher, and X-Men.

The book, a collaboration between Marvel and Pan Universal Galactic Worldwide (PUGW), is currently being crowdfunded on Kickstarter. It is presented as a 9"x12" slipcase hardcover and will feature hundreds of Lee's original drawings. Alongside the main volume, the campaign offers a pair of 11"x17" portfolio sets showcasing splash pages and cover images at their original dimensions. Backers can also opt to include miniature recreations of Lee's comic covers, designed to fit within a scale-model shortbox.

John Nee, CEO of PUGW, stated that Lee's Marvel work not only defined an era but also reshaped the look and feel of superhero comics. He emphasized the goal of the Marvel Artist Archive series to create a premium, collector-focused line that honors the power, detail, and enduring influence of Lee's art.

PUGW has indicated that this release is the first in an intended series of retrospective art books, with further announcements anticipated. The Kickstarter campaign provides an early look at the contents of the collection.
