Creator Matt Kindt's Flux House imprint is expanding with a new quarterly anthology series, Flux House Presents, set to launch in late 2026. The series is designed to run concurrently with ongoing Flux House titles such as Mind MGMT: New & Improved and Fort Psycho.
Flux House Presents #1 will debut on October 7, 2026, and will include three new stories. The first tale, "SPARK," is a double-sized chapter focusing on a young woman and her community striving to survive changing seasons and harness new tools. Following that, Kindt and David Lapham will present "ROOM 101," which explores a motel room that offers access to various points in time and space. The issue will conclude with a story tied to Kindt and Brian Hurtt's "FORT PSYCHO" comic.
Kindt expressed his desire to revive the spirit of classic anthologies like "DHP," "Eightball," "Negative Burn," and "Taboo." He aims to deliver unexpected, genre-bending stories encompassing pulp, horror, and sci-fi, emphasizing the impact even a two-page story can have and providing a platform for creators to experiment. "I want to bring back short form comics — where even a 2-page story can change your life. And give creators a chance to play and experiment," Kindt stated.
Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con next week can get a preview of the new imprint at the "Inside FLUX HOUSE with Matt Kindt and Brian Hurtt" panel. The panel is scheduled for Saturday, June 25th, at 1 p.m. PT in Room 5AB. SDCC 2026 runs from Wednesday, July 22 to Sunday, July 26.
