The 2026 editions of LEGO's popular Advent Calendars have launched, and retailers are already offering significant discounts. Walmart has made the Marvel, Star Wars, and Disney Princesses themed calendars available for $35 each, a reduction from their original $45 price point.
These advent calendars are designed to help consumers count down the days to Christmas. From December 1st to the 24th, a new small LEGO micro-build is revealed each day by opening a perforated door on the box. Each day's build consists of a few pieces and is presented in its own bag, with assembly instructions found on the inside of the door flap.
The daily builds can vary, including minifigures with accessories, small vehicles, furniture pieces, or decorative items relevant to the calendar's theme. For example, the Marvel calendar for 2026 includes a Captain America snowman, Wolverine in an X-Men sweater, Spider-Man on skis, along with wrapped presents and a micro Avengers Helicarrier. The Star Wars calendar features Grogu in a scarf and a Christmas-themed X-Wing.
While the Harry Potter theme is notably absent this year, LEGO's own Friends and City themes also have advent calendars on sale, priced at $25 each, down from their original $35 MSRP. It is worth noting that while Walmart lists these calendars at $59.99, the official LEGO Store and Amazon show the MSRP as $45 for the licensed themes.
This early sale is unusual, as these calendars typically do not see discounts so soon after their release. However, they are known to sell out closer to the holiday season, making this an opportune time for purchases. Consumers can buy them now and store them away until December 1st.
In addition to the advent calendars, several other new LEGO sets were released on September 1st, with future release dates for announced LEGO sets also available to view.
