Amazon has reduced the price of the 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless PC Gaming Controller to $23.99 as part of its Prime Day sale. This represents a 20% discount from its usual $29.99 price point. This deal was previously available in September, though at that time only the lavender color variant was discounted.
Premium Features at an Accessible Price
The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C boasts several premium features not typically found in controllers under $30. The device features a solid build with a matte texture, and its joysticks and triggers utilize magnetic Hall Effect switches. This design choice eliminates moving parts prone to wear and potential stick drift, a feature even absent in some high-end controllers like the PlayStation DualSense Edge and Xbox Elite. The joysticks are further reinforced with metal rings for enhanced durability.
Additional functionalities include extra R4/L4 bumpers that can be custom mapped without requiring additional software, a Turbo button, and rumble vibration. The controller supports Bluetooth connectivity and includes a USB dongle for a stable 2.4GHz wireless connection with a 1,000Hz polling rate.
Broad Compatibility
The Ultimate 2C is compatible with Windows PCs, Android devices, and Steam PCs. It is also well-suited for handheld gaming PCs such as the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and Legion Go.
