The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless PC Gaming Controller, frequently lauded as one of the best PC controllers under $50, is currently available for an even more compelling price for Amazon Prime members. For a limited time, the controller is discounted by 20%, bringing its cost down to $23.99 from its usual $29.99 retail price.
This controller boasts several premium features typically found in more expensive alternatives. It utilizes magnetic Hall Effect switches for both its joysticks and triggers, a design choice that eliminates moving parts prone to wear and drift. Even high-end controllers like the PlayStation DualSense Edge and Xbox Elite do not feature Hall Effect switches. The joysticks are further enhanced with metal rings for increased durability.
The Ultimate 2C also includes customizable R4/L4 bumpers, accessible without requiring additional software. A Turbo button and rumble vibration are also integrated. Connectivity options include Bluetooth and a 2.4GHz wireless connection via an included USB dongle, which supports a 1,000Hz polling rate for stable performance.
This controller is compatible with Windows PCs, Android devices, and Steam Deck, making it a suitable option for handheld gaming PCs such as the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and Legion Go.
