The 8BitDo Ultimate 2C Wireless PC Gaming Controller, generally priced at $29.99, is currently available on Amazon for $23.99, representing a 20% discount. This deal applies specifically to the lavender color variant.
Premium Features at a Budget Price
Despite its sub-$30 price point, the Ultimate 2C offers features typically found in more expensive controllers. The device boasts a solid construction with a matte texture that provides a comfortable grip. Notably, it incorporates magnetic Hall Effect switches for both its joysticks and triggers. This technology eliminates the wear and tear associated with traditional moving parts, preventing common issues like stick drift. Even high-end controllers such as the PlayStation DualSense Edge and Xbox Elite do not feature Hall Effect switches.
The controller's joysticks are further enhanced with metal rings for increased durability. Additional features include customizable R4 and L4 bumpers, accessible without the need for additional software. A Turbo button and rumble vibration are also included for an enhanced gaming experience.
Connectivity and Compatibility
The Ultimate 2C supports Bluetooth connectivity, and a USB dongle is provided for a stable 2.4GHz wireless connection with a 1,000Hz polling rate. It is compatible with Windows PCs, Android devices, and Steam Deck. This makes it a suitable option for handheld gaming PCs like the Steam Deck, ASUS ROG Ally, and Legion Go.
