Walmart is currently offering the ABS Cyclone gaming PC for $899, a significant price drop for a system featuring an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 graphics card. This deal presents a compelling option for budget-conscious gamers seeking a capable 1080p experience.
The ABS Cyclone is equipped with an Intel Core i5-14400F processor, 16GB of DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The 10-core, 16-thread CPU, with a boost clock of up to 4.7GHz, is well-suited to pair with the RTX 5060 GPU. While the system utilizes DDR4 memory, the performance difference in gaming compared to DDR5 is negligible.
The RTX 5060 graphics card is positioned as a strong budget choice for 1080p gaming, offering a performance increase of approximately 20-30% over its predecessor, the RTX 4060. With the potential for DLSS 4 and multi-frame generation, players can expect to maintain consistent framerates above 60fps in most titles at this resolution. However, for higher resolutions such as 1440p or 4K, an upgrade to an RTX 5060 Ti or a more powerful card would be necessary.
Compared to the $1,049 Steam Machine, which features a lower-wattage CPU and a custom GPU comparable to the Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060, the ABS Cyclone offers a substantial performance advantage. The RTX 5060-equipped rig is estimated to be 20-30% faster, making the $150 price difference a decisive factor in favor of the ABS Cyclone.
