Walmart is offering a significant discount on the 27-inch Acer Nitro QD-OLED gaming monitor, dropping its price to $269 with free shipping. This deal presents a strong value, potentially rivaling offerings expected during future major sales events.
The Acer Nitro (VG277U Xbiip) features a 27-inch QD-OLED panel with a 2560x1440 resolution, providing a sharp 109ppi pixel density suitable for both gaming and productivity. Quantum dot technology enhances brightness and expands the color gamut compared to traditional W-OLED panels. Like other OLED monitors, it delivers superior image quality through instantaneous response times, true black levels, and an exceptionally high contrast ratio.
A standout feature of this monitor is its native 240Hz refresh rate, a specification rarely found in monitors priced below $300. This high refresh rate is particularly beneficial for fast-paced genres such as first-person shooters and sports games, where quick reflexes are crucial. To fully leverage this speed at QHD resolution, a powerful GPU is recommended, such as an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. While not officially G-Sync validated, the monitor supports FreeSync, offering compatibility with variable refresh rate technology.
The monitor is also backed by a three-year warranty.
