Amazon is offering an exclusive "80's Horror 5-Film Steelbook Library Case" for preorder, set to release on October 6, 2026. This collection bundles five iconic horror films: "Nightmare on Elm Street," "Poltergeist," "The Lost Boys," "The Shining," and "Little Shop of Horrors."
The set is designed to resemble a classic VHS collection and includes each film in 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and digital formats, each housed in its own Steelbook case. Accompanying the discs are five Mini VHS Sleeves, a Mini "80's Horror" Shelf Sign, a certificate of authenticity, stickers, and five rental posters corresponding to each movie.
This collector's edition is priced at $144.99 and is available exclusively through Amazon. The release coincides with several other Steelbook editions also going up for preorder on the platform, including "Van Helsing," "An American Werewolf in London," and "Doctor Who" complete era collections.
The notes accompanying the announcement emphasize the growing importance of physical media collections, particularly in light of digital content rights potentially being revoked. The collection is compatible with modern 4K Blu-ray players, including those found in the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles.
