Amazon's Prime Day event, running June 23-26, continues to offer a significant number of discounts on video games and related hardware across multiple platforms. This year's sale is presenting a strong showing comparable to Black Friday, with notable price drops on titles for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox.
Several standout deals have emerged as the sale progresses. The PlayStation Portal is available through Amazon Resale promotions for approximately $167. For Nintendo Switch owners, discounts include Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, with the original version down to $29.99 and the Switch 2 upgrade costing an additional $10. Pokemon Legends: Z-A is also on sale for $44.99. Additionally, microSD Express cards for the Switch 2 are priced around $39.99, offering an opportunity to expand storage at a reduced cost.
To access these deals, an Amazon Prime membership is required. New members can sign up for a 30-day free trial, while past members can opt for a one-month subscription for $15. Students receive a six-month free trial followed by a 50% discount on an annual membership.
Nintendo Switch Deals
The Prime Day sale features a robust selection of Nintendo game deals, including first-party titles, major third-party releases, and Switch 2 upgrades. Beyond Metroid Prime 4: Beyond and Pokemon Legends: Z-A, significant discounts are available on Mario Tennis Fever (under $50) and Hades 2 (down to $40). Hades 2, noted for its striking art, captivating characters, fast-paced combat, and spectacular music, is considered a strong purchase at its current price.
A notable offer on the Switch 2 console is the "Switch 2: Choose Your Own Game Bundle." This deal provides a $80 saving, particularly significant given the console's upcoming $50 price increase in September. The bundle includes a digital download for one of three games: Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, or Pokémon Pokopia. An Amazon Resale deal for the Switch 2 console is also intermittently available, dropping the price to around $341.
For storage, Nintendo eShop Gift Cards are available for $8.98, a 10% discount. While a small saving, this provides free credit usable on full games, DLC, Nintendo Switch Online memberships, in-game currency, and indie titles.
PlayStation 5 Deals
PlayStation 5 owners can find substantial savings on games this summer. Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater is priced at $25, offering a significant discount on the remake of a classic stealth game. Resident Evil Requiem, praised as one of the best games of 2026, is also at an all-time low price on Amazon, as is Clair Obscur.
While PS5 Pro deals are currently sold out, the PS5 console is occasionally restocked through Amazon Resale deals. Interested buyers are advised to check back regularly for availability.
Xbox Deals
While specific Xbox deals are less extensive in the notes, many PS5 game discounts are also applicable to Xbox owners. A notable offer from Best Buy includes a free $50 reward certificate with the purchase of Grand Theft Auto 6 when bundled with an eligible PlayStation 5 or Xbox console. This promotion requires a free "My Best Buy" membership.
High-End Display Discount
For those seeking a premium viewing experience, the 2025 65" LG Evo C5 OLED Smart TV is available for $1,199.99. This represents the best price observed this year for the television, which is compatible with next-generation consoles.
