Amazon's Prime Day sale is drawing to a close, with many of its best deals set to expire at midnight. This event presents a significant opportunity to acquire items at prices not expected to be seen again until Black Friday, making it an opportune time to purchase necessary goods while saving money.
The sale also serves as an excellent occasion to treat oneself. Amidst rising costs, the opportunity to purchase something enjoyable, beyond purely practical items, is a notable perk of adult financial independence.
Tech and Entertainment Deals
For those seeking new technology, AR glasses are currently a prominent item. The RayNeo Air 4 Pro glasses, capable of projecting a 201-inch virtual screen from a connected phone, Switch 2, or Steam Deck, are available at their lowest price ever. Previously reviewed positively, these glasses offer a unique way to consume media.
In terms of physical media, 4K Blu-ray collections are seeing notable discounts. The Middle-Earth 6-Film collection, in particular, is at its lowest price and offers a superior viewing experience compared to streaming. Other significant box set deals are also available.
Gaming and Collectibles
This Prime Day also features substantial discounts on Nintendo Switch 2 games, a console that has seen rapid sales. Following a recent Nintendo announcement of a price increase for the Switch 2 in September, Amazon has introduced price drops on first-party titles, including Pokemon Legends: Z-A and select Mario games.
For tabletop enthusiasts, discounts on board games are plentiful. A standout recommendation is the Legend of Zelda Collector's Edition chess set, which is being offered at its first-ever discount. Similarly, LEGO sets for adults, such as the Super Mario Piranha Plant build, are on sale and offer an engaging building experience.
Personal Comforts and Accessories
Among the available deals are a pair of AirPods Pro 3, currently priced at $179, which represents a strong discount from their original launch price. While these deals may be temporary, similar discounts are anticipated for Black Friday.
For those looking to maximize relaxation time, an Audible subscription for new subscribers is available for $0.99 per month for the first three months, along with a $20 credit. This represents the year's best discount on the audiobook service.
Finally, themed merchandise like Dungeon Crawler Carl T-shirts are available at reduced prices. Additionally, a miniature Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade cabinet, replicating the 1989 game, is at its lowest price of the year. The production of such items could be affected by the recent shutdown of competitor Arcade1Up.
