Best Buy is offering a substantial $1,000 discount on the Asus ROG Flow Z13 gaming laptop, reducing its price to $2,099.99 for a limited time. This rare deal applies to a configuration featuring 64GB of RAM, making it a particularly compelling offer given current memory prices.
The ROG Flow Z13, in its tablet configuration, is comparable in size and weight to handheld gaming PCs. It weighs 2.65 pounds, approximately one pound more than the Xbox Ally X's 1.6 pounds. The device sports a premium build with a CNC aluminum alloy chassis and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus screen protection. Its 13.4-inch display offers a 2560x1600 resolution at a 180Hz refresh rate.
This specific model is equipped with an AMD Ryzen AI Max+ 395 CPU, featuring an AMD Radeon 8060S integrated graphics unit (iGPU). The Radeon 8060S is noted as the most powerful integrated graphics solution currently available, delivering gaming performance that approaches that of a discrete RTX 5060 mobile GPU and surpasses the RTX 4060 mobile. This performance significantly exceeds that of the APUs found in high-end handhelds like the ROG Ally X or Legion Go.
The inclusion of 64GB of LPDDR5X-8000Mhz RAM and a 1TB SSD further enhances its capabilities. The previous IGN review highlighted a configuration with 32GB of RAM priced at $2,300, indicating that this deal offers double the memory for a lower cost. As the RAM is soldered to the motherboard, the 64GB configuration is particularly valuable, as it cannot be upgraded post-purchase.
