Walmart has reduced the price of the 27-inch ASUS ROG STRIX XG27AQDMESZ QD-OLED gaming monitor to $349, including free shipping. This represents a substantial discount on a high-performance display that incorporates Samsung's quantum dot OLED panel technology.
The ASUS ROG STRIX features a 2560x1440 resolution, providing sharp visuals with a pixel density of 111ppi, suitable for both gaming and productivity tasks. QD-OLED panels are known for their enhanced brightness and wider color gamut compared to standard W-OLED displays. Like other OLED monitors, it offers superior image quality through instantaneous response times, deep black levels, and an exceptional contrast ratio.
With a native 240Hz refresh rate, this monitor is designed for fast-paced gaming, catering to genres like first-person shooters and sports games where quick reflexes are crucial. To take full advantage of the high refresh rate at QHD resolution, a powerful graphics card is recommended, such as an NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7900 XT, though an RTX 4070 may suffice for older titles or less demanding games. The monitor also comes with a three-year warranty that includes coverage for OLED burn-in, along with ASUS' rapid replacement service to minimize downtime.
This particular model is positioned as a more accessible option within the premium OLED market, offering a balance of advanced features and a competitive price point. It joins other displays, such as the Alienware AW2726DM, in offering similar specifications at the $350 price mark.
