Best Buy is currently offering a discount on a trio of limited edition Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controllers, available exclusively through the retailer. These controllers, normally priced at $149.99, are on sale for $129.99, representing a savings of approximately 14 percent. This promotional price is notable, particularly when compared to the starting price of $170 for customized controllers through Xbox's Design Lab service.
The limited edition controllers were preconfigured using the Xbox Design Lab service, which allows players to create personalized controllers by customizing various components such as the shell colors, grips, buttons, and thumbsticks. Notably, the specific shell colors featured on these exclusive controllers—red, blue, and translucent green—are currently unavailable for selection within the Design Lab platform.
The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core controller is positioned as the premium offering for Xbox consoles. It shares the same physical design and integrated pro gaming features as the original $200 Xbox Elite Series 2 controller, including adjustable-tension thumbsticks, a wrap-around rubberized grip, and shorter hair trigger locks. The primary distinction between the Core model and its predecessor lies in the included accessories; the original Elite controller came with a more extensive set of interchangeable paddles, thumbsticks, D-pad options, and a travel case. The Elite Series 2 Core does not include these accessories, though they can be purchased separately as a component pack for $59.99.
This sale is part of a limited-time promotion at Best Buy, with the discounted pricing valid for the current week.
