Best Buy is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a sale that includes notable discounts on trading card games (TCGs). The sale features a selection of TCG accessories and products, alongside broader deals on games and electronics.
Among the featured deals at Best Buy are discounts on Ultra Pro TCG accessories, including a Pikachu-themed deck box and playmat for Pokémon TCG, and a Final Fantasy Y'shtola playmat for Magic: The Gathering. The Lorcana Gateway set is available for $19.99, a reduction from its usual price, and a Yu-Gi-Oh! Doom of Dimensions Booster 4-Pack is priced at $14.99. These items are sold and shipped directly from Best Buy.
Best Buy will also host an in-store drop on August 22 featuring Pokémon TCG products such as First Partner Illustration Collection Boxes and Pitch Black sealed products. Ascended Heroes, Destined Rivals, and Prismatic Evolutions may also be available during this event. Additionally, $100 gift cards are being offered for $60.
For those seeking the best prices, shopping around is recommended. TCGplayer is highlighted as a platform where prices for sought-after TCG gear can often be found at a lower cost. For instance, the Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is available on TCGplayer for just over $120, compared to a third-party seller price of $143.99 on Best Buy. These TCGplayer listings typically offer unopened and sealed products from sellers like "NoPaperCuts," "Buddy's Collectibles," or "PikaForLife."
Deals are also available at Amazon, particularly for Pokémon TCG's Mega Evolution expansion, Pitch Black. Elite Trainer Boxes are currently priced at $69.95, sold and shipped directly from Amazon.
Magic: The Gathering also sees several discounts on Amazon. The upcoming Star Trek set, part of the Universes Beyond series, is available for pre-order at $199.99, reflecting a 5% discount from its MSRP of $209.70. Amazon's preorder price guarantee ensures customers will receive the lowest price between the time of order and the release date of November 3, 2026.
Further deals include discounts on the Marvel's Super Heroes Universes Beyond set. The Marvel Bundle is down to $59.86, and the Commander Deck Bundle, which includes all four decks, is priced at $184.95, averaging to $46.23 per deck against an MSRP of $74.99 each.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Draft Night bundle has reached its lowest price, falling to just under $73. This bundle, originally $119.99, includes 12 Play Boosters, 90 Lands, and a Collector Booster. The Draft Night kit is designed as a self-contained package for four players to host a Pick-Two Draft, suitable for introducing new players to Magic: The Gathering.
