Epic Games Store is continuing its holiday free-game tradition, announcing that Chivalry 2 is the current free title available to claim today. The game remains free until 11 a.m. EST on January 1, and it sits among the store's ongoing daily mystery giveaways that wrap up the year. The mystery picks are presented with wrapped-present thumbnails, adding a seasonal layer to the promotion. To claim, players sign in to the Epic Games Store and add Chivalry 2 to their library before the window closes.
Chivalry 2 is described as a different type of FPS — a first-person stabber — with matches scaling up to 64 players. Players take on medieval-era roles and engage in large-scale battles that emphasize realism and chaotic, cinematic combat. The experience focuses on precise melee engagements and team-focused objectives, offering moments of controlled mayhem rather than pure gunplay. The game has drawn attention for its visceral melee feedback and its ongoing popularity among multiplayer fans.
To claim the free game, sign in to the Epic Games Store and redeem Chivalry 2 for free. The mystery free games are available for 24 hours and reset each day at 11 a.m. EST, when the next mystery title is revealed. This rotation tends to combine recognizable, enduring games with more experimental picks. The broader holiday cadence has included big-name and indie titles alike, reinforcing Epic's strategy of expanding libraries during the season.
