The Corsair Scimitar Elite Wireless SE, lauded as the best MMO gaming mouse, is currently available for half its original price during Amazon's Prime Day event. This deal brings the peripheral down to $70, making it a significant opportunity for players looking to upgrade their setup, particularly for games like World of Warcraft which is set to receive a major update soon.
The Scimitar Elite SE boasts an impressive array of 16 programmable buttons, including an adjustable 12-button configuration on the side designed for thumb access. This allows for extensive customization and quick access to various in-game commands. In a review, the mouse was awarded a score of 89%, praised for its comfortable design and high-level gaming performance, including excellent polling and responsiveness. While it operates at a standard 1,000 Hz polling rate, which is generally sufficient for MMO gameplay, it avoids the complexities of higher polling rates.
Connectivity options include a 2.4 GHz wireless connection, Bluetooth, and USB Type-C. The mouse is equipped with a 33K optical sensor for precise tracking and features subtle RGB lighting. Its battery life is rated at 150 hours on a single charge.
Potential drawbacks include the mouse's weight at 114 grams and the fact that its specialized button layout may not suit all users, especially left-handed players. However, for those who can leverage its extensive button array, the current sale presents a compelling value. Further details on Prime Day PC gaming deals can be found in ongoing coverage.
