Costco is set to offer a notable deal on the highly sought-after Pokémon trading card set, Ascended Heroes. The membership-only warehouse club is reportedly receiving Elite Trainer Boxes for the set, which have been difficult for collectors to find at retail prices and are subject to inflated resale markets. This availability comes during the same week that 30th-anniversary Pokémon TCG products are also being released.
According to reports from Costco employees and stock information shared on Discord, the Ascended Heroes Elite Trainer Boxes will be available at Costco for $42. This price is considerably lower than the manufacturer's suggested resale price and significantly below the current market value, which has been observed as high as $160. Costco is expected to implement a purchase limit of two boxes per membership, allowing collectors the opportunity to acquire multiple sets for less than the cost of a single box on the secondary market.
To purchase the Pokémon cards from Costco, a membership is required. The exact timing of the shipments has not been standardized across all locations. Internal tracking documents indicate that all shipments were in transit leading up to September 14, 2026. As these shipments are distributed nationwide, individual Costco stores will receive and stock the product at different times. While boxes are anticipated to appear on store shelves this week, the specific day will vary by location.
Each Costco location is expected to receive approximately 360 Elite Trainer Boxes. With the two-box limit per membership, it is estimated that roughly 180 individuals per store will be able to purchase the boxes. Social media reports indicate that some customers are already lining up at Costco locations, anticipating the release even before confirming stock availability.
A list of 111 Costco stores confirmed to receive Ascended Heroes ETBs this week has been circulating, with a notable concentration of these locations on the West Coast and Southwest. While other regions may also receive shipments, it is advisable to contact individual stores directly to confirm availability. A comprehensive list of participating Costco locations is available online.
To ascertain when a specific Costco store begins selling the Ascended Heroes ETBs, collectors can monitor regional restock groups on platforms like Facebook and Discord. However, there may be a delay between when these groups report product availability and when information reaches individual users. Alternatively, customers can contact their local Costco store directly when it opens and inquire about item number 2022324. This direct approach can also help confirm if a particular store is not part of the promotion.
