A CyberPowerPC gaming rig featuring Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card is available for $2,989.99 at Best Buy, a significant discount off its usual price. This deal, which includes free shipping, represents one of the few opportunities to acquire an RTX 5080-equipped prebuilt system for under $3,000, especially from a recognized brand.
The urgency for this deal may be heightened by rumors suggesting Nvidia is reducing production of the RTX 5080. Similar speculation regarding the RTX 5090 earlier this month reportedly led to a surge in prebuilt prices for that component. This current offer is for a limited time only.
This specific CyberPowerPC configuration boasts an AMD Ryzen 9 9900X processor, 32GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB SSD. The Ryzen 9 9900X is a 12-core Zen 5 CPU with a maximum boost clock of 5.6GHz, making it suitable for demanding games and productivity tasks. The system is housed within a Phanteks Evol X2 chassis, noted for its panoramic tempered glass design and ample airflow, which also provides room for future hardware upgrades.
The GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card is positioned as a high-end GPU, surpassed only by the RTX 5090 and the discontinued RTX 4090. It is capable of running modern games at 4K resolution with high settings and ray tracing enabled. Nvidia's DLSS 4.5 technology further enhances performance by optimizing upscaling and frame generation, allowing for higher frame rates even at 4K. Support for DLSS 4.5 is expanding, with titles such as Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Battlefield 6, Death Stranding 2, and Crimson Desert expected to implement the feature.
