PC gaming enthusiasts can enter for a chance to win a 2TB Steam Machine and a Steam Controller by purchasing a $1 Mystery Key from Fanatical. This promotion offers a dual benefit: each Mystery Key purchased grants the buyer a random Steam game, while also serving as an entry into a sweepstakes for the hardware prize.
The Mystery Key bundles have been a recurring promotion, providing customers with a variety of Steam games that can expand their libraries with both AAA titles and independent games, or offer Steam trading cards. Notable games received in past bundles by the source include Resident Evil 6 Complete, Dead Rising 3 Apocalypse Edition, and the indie horror survival game Hauntsville.
Beyond the chance to win the Steam Machine and controller, the promotion also includes opportunities for instant grand prizes. These can range from "Golden Crates" containing thousands of dollars worth of games to keys for highly anticipated titles like Crimson Desert and Doom: The Dark Ages, although these are rare.
The odds of winning the grand prizes are slim, but the core of the promotion remains the acquisition of Steam keys. Each Mystery Key purchased is an entry into the draw, with the cost per key decreasing when bought in larger quantities. For example, purchasing 25 keys reduces the individual price.
This promotion allows players to acquire new games for their Steam library while simultaneously participating in a giveaway for PC gaming hardware. The promotion is currently active, and further details can be found on Fanatical's website.
