The GameSir G7 Pro controller, lauded for its feel and features, is currently available for less than $65 as part of Amazon Prime Day deals. This price point makes it a compelling option for PC and Xbox gamers seeking a high-quality gamepad without a premium cost.
The controller, which received a 92% rating, is currently discounted by $16 at Amazon, bringing its price down to $64. The standard black and red model is noted for its attractive design, though other color options like white, gold, orange, silver, and purple are available at the same price. A special Dragon's Dogma 2 edition is also available for slightly less. The G7 Pro features interchangeable faceplates for customization.
A key feature of the G7 Pro is its included charging stand, which doubles as a 2.4 GHz dock. This allows for a single USB Type-C cable to connect to a PC and charge the controller simultaneously.
In terms of technical specifications, the controller boasts TMR thumbsticks, Hall effect triggers, a 1,000 Hz polling rate, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. While an 8K version with a higher polling rate exists, the article suggests the standard model offers superior value for the average user.
The GameSir G7 Pro offers a familiar layout and feel for those accustomed to Xbox controllers, with a comfortable weight and size. It is compatible with both PC and Xbox, though it requires a wired connection for console use. Wireless functionality is supported on PC, mobile devices, and the Nintendo Switch.
PC Gamer considers the GameSir G7 Pro the best controller available for PC gaming due to its strong value proposition, even when compared to controllers with higher polling rates and more robust build qualities.
