Best Buy is offering a significant discount on the 65-inch Hisense UR8 RGB Mini-LED TV, reducing its price from $2,000 to $1,099.99 with free shipping. This deal arrives ahead of the Black Friday shopping season.
Hisense's UR8 series utilizes RGB Mini-LED technology, an advancement over traditional Mini-LED displays. While standard Mini-LED TVs use blue LEDs filtered through RGB color, this new technology employs discrete red, green, and blue LEDs. This eliminates the need for filters, resulting in more accurate color reproduction, reduced blooming, and a wider color gamut that surpasses even current OLED technology. The visual improvements translate to richer colors, smoother gradients, and less banding, particularly noticeable in 4K HDR content.
Beyond color accuracy, the UR8 series offers other advantages. These TVs are considerably brighter than OLEDs, making them suitable for well-lit rooms. They also provide improved viewing angles, ensuring a consistent experience for viewers positioned off-center. For gamers, the Hisense UR8 features a native 180Hz refresh rate and HDMI 2.1 inputs, capable of supporting 4K gaming at high frame rates when paired with consoles like the PlayStation 5.
