Walmart is currently offering the HP HyperX OMEN gaming laptop, featuring an RTX 5060 graphics card, for $1,199, marking a $700 reduction from its original price. The laptop includes free shipping.
The RTX 5060 GPU in this model operates at its maximum allowable TGP of 115W, ensuring it performs at the upper limits for its class among other RTX 5060 laptops. This particular configuration includes a 15.3-inch 2K 165Hz IPS display, an AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX processor, 16GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 1TB SSD.
The AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX is an 8-core, 16-thread processor based on the Zen 4 architecture, capable of boosting up to 5.1GHz, making it a strong performer for gaming. The GeForce RTX 5060 mobile GPU is positioned as a capable mid-range option that should deliver smooth gameplay at the display's native 1900x1200 resolution, particularly with support for DLSS 4.5. HP has confirmed that this model, identified by the 15-gb0xxx designation when paired with an AMD Dragon Range CPU, utilizes an RTX 5060 GPU with a 115W TGP, according to its official specifications.
This laptop's specifications, including the AMD Ryzen HX CPU and GeForce RTX 5060 mobile GPU, surpass the performance of the recently released Steam Machine, which features a lower-power CPU and a GPU comparable to the Radeon RX 7600 or GeForce RTX 4060, all at a similar price point.
