Walmart is currently featuring a substantial discount on HP's OMEN 45L gaming PC, bringing the price down to $1,999 with complimentary shipping. This configuration includes an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti graphics card and 32GB of DDR5 RAM. The sale is directly from Walmart, avoiding third-party resellers.
System Specifications
The OMEN 45L is powered by an Intel Core Ultra 7 265K processor, a 20-core CPU capable of reaching a 5.5GHz turbo frequency. It is paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti GPU featuring 16GB of VRAM, 32GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, and a 1TB NVMe SSD. The CPU is kept cool by a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooling system. This processor is well-suited for gaming, and any upgrade to a Core Ultra 9 would likely yield minimal performance gains, especially given the powerful GPU it is already matched with.
Graphics Performance
The RTX 5070 Ti is highlighted for its strong value in 4K gaming. Its performance is comparable to the previous generation's RTX 4080 Super, and it can surpass it in titles that utilize multi-frame generation, particularly with DLSS 4.5 updates. The GPU is capable of running demanding games at 4K resolution with a 60fps frame rate, including titles such as Death Stranding 2 and Crimson Desert. The 16GB of VRAM also makes the RTX 5070 Ti suitable for certain AI workloads.
OMEN 45L Chassis and Components
HP's OMEN 45L chassis is designed for ample space and cooling. It incorporates four 120mm fans for overall system airflow and features a dedicated "Cryo Chamber" at the top for the CPU's 240mm or 360mm liquid cooler. The system is equipped with a 1,200W 80Plus Gold certified power supply. Internally, it utilizes current-generation components, including an Intel Z790 motherboard, Kingston FURY DDR5-6000MHz RGB RAM, and a WD Black M.2 SSD. The chassis design blends steel and tempered glass with RGB lighting, offering a premium aesthetic that is less overtly "gamer" than some other PC cases.
