Best Buy is offering a substantial discount on an iBuyPower Slate gaming PC featuring an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card. The deal, available for today only, reduces the price to $2,499.99 with free shipping. This configuration includes 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB NVMe SSD for storage.
The iBuyPower system is powered by an AMD Ryzen 9 7900X processor, which offers a maximum boost clock of 5.6GHz across its 12 cores and 24 threads. This CPU is paired with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5080 GPU, noted for its ability to handle demanding games at 4K resolution. The memory is DDR5 clocked at 5200MHz, and storage is provided by a 2TB M.2 SSD. Cooling for the CPU is managed by a 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler, and the system is powered by an 850W power supply.
The RTX 5080 is positioned as one of the market's fastest graphics cards, surpassed only by the RTX 5090 and the now-discontinued RTX 4090. It is particularly well-suited for playing modern titles at 4K resolution with high graphical settings and ray tracing enabled. Recent advancements in technologies like DLSS 4.5 are further enhancing performance through improved multi-frame generation and upscaling, allowing for higher frame rates even in 4K. Several upcoming games, including Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Battlefield 6, Death Stranding 2, and Crimson Desert, are expected to benefit from these optimizations.
