Amazon has significantly reduced the price of the JBL Live Buds 3 noise-canceling wireless earbuds, bringing them down to $91.99 from their original $200 retail price. This represents a saving of over 50% and is currently the best price available for the earbuds this year, with expectations that this deal may not be beaten during the upcoming Black Friday sales.
The JBL Live Buds 3 are distinguished by their smart charging case, which features a 1.45-inch touchscreen display. This allows users to control audio playback and manage settings without needing to access their smartphone. The charging case provides an additional 30 hours of battery life, supplementing the ten hours of playback offered by the earbuds themselves.
Internally, the earbuds are equipped with 10mm dynamic drivers tuned to JBL Signature Sound. Each earbud contains three microphones, totaling six, which enhance voice clarity during calls. Four of these microphones also contribute to the active noise cancellation feature, reducing ambient noise. The earbuds are built to withstand outdoor use, featuring an IP55 rating for water and dust resistance.
While the earbuds offer broad compatibility, they are optimized for Android devices. They support Google Fast Pair, Bluetooth Multi-Point with Google Audio Switch, Google Finder, Bluetooth LE, and Sony's LDAC codec for improved audio quality. However, they lack specific Apple integration features, such as an H1 or H2 chip, meaning iPhone users will miss out on some of the convenience features found in Apple's own AirPods, despite good general audio performance.
