Best Buy's weekend-only DoorBOOster sale is offering a 50% discount on the 48-inch LG B6 4K OLED Smart TV, bringing its price down to $599.99 with free delivery. This current generation 2026 model is LG's most affordable OLED TV for the year.
The B6 features a W-OLED panel and an Alpha 8 AI Gen3 processor, providing superior image quality with its near-infinite contrast ratio, rapid response times, and ability to display true blacks. These characteristics make OLED TVs highly regarded for gaming.
The TV is equipped with a native 120Hz panel and four HDMI 2.1 ports, supporting 4K resolution at up to 120 frames per second for current-generation consoles like the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. It also includes support for variable refresh rate (VRR) up to 144Hz and auto low latency mode (ALLM).
While the Nintendo Switch 2 has less demanding TV requirements, only outputting 4K at 60fps and lacking VRR in docked mode, the overall image quality of an OLED panel will still enhance the gaming experience. The Switch 2 will benefit from the OLED's superior visual presentation, similar to how the Switch OLED improves upon the original model.
For PC gamers, the 48-inch LG OLED TV can serve as a viable and more budget-friendly alternative to dedicated OLED gaming monitors, which often exceed $1,000 for the same size. At 48 inches with 4K resolution, the display offers a pixel density of approximately 97 pixels per inch, suitable for gaming and general productivity tasks. The LG B6 also supports chroma 4:4:4 for improved text clarity.
