Amazon is offering a significant discount on Magic: The Gathering's Fantastic Four Commander preconstructed deck, slashing its price by 31%. The deck is now available for just over $51, down from its original $75 price point.
This preconstructed deck is built around Marvel's First Family, utilizing all colors in Magic except black. While the $75 price tag was considered steep, the current $50 price makes it an attractive option for players looking for a fun and modular deck. The deck allows players to choose between four different Legendary Creatures for their Commander: The Thing, Human Torch, The Invisible Woman, or Mr. Fantastic, each offering a distinct playstyle.
The Human Torch commander, for example, gains double strike, flying, and haste when noncreature spells are played before combat. The Invisible Woman focuses on creating defensive strategies, while The Thing gains +1/+1 counters based on noncreature spells cast. Mr. Fantastic provides card draw and ability duplication. When all four commanders are on the battlefield and a noncreature spell is cast, their abilities can synergize considerably, amplifying their impact.
The deck also includes several notable reprints such as Seize the Day, Quantum Misalignment, and Three Visits, adding further value for players.
This deal presents an opportunity for both existing Magic: The Gathering players and newcomers to explore the Universes Beyond Marvel Super Heroes set, which has been described as "pretty great" and worthwhile for a variety of players.
