A new deal on the Magic: The Gathering The Hobbit Gift Bundle has surfaced on Amazon, reducing its price from $109.86 to $99.99. This 9% discount represents a new low price for the bundle, which includes nine Play Boosters, 34 land cards featuring full-art seasonal hobbit lands and Middle-Earth Journey lands, an alternate-art promo card, and a Collector Booster.
While the inclusion of a Collector Booster, a prime source for rare cards like Gleaming Splendor or The Arkenstone, adds significant value, the current savings are marginal when calculating the cost of individual components. The bundle does not offer substantial savings compared to purchasing its parts separately, even when excluding the value of the lands and storage box.
Given the historical trend of Magic: The Gathering sets seeing price drops closer to major sales events like Black Friday, it is advisable for consumers to wait. Past performance suggests that further discounts on The Hobbit set are probable as the holiday shopping season approaches, potentially offering a more significant reduction than the current Amazon deal provides.
