The Meta Quest 3S VR headset is currently on sale for $297 as part of Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days event, marking the lowest price point it has reached this year. The sale, which runs from October 6 to October 7, offers a $53 discount on the headset. Notably, a Prime membership is not required to take advantage of this particular deal.
The Meta Quest 3S is an all-in-one virtual reality headset that includes a built-in computer, eliminating the need for a PC connection to run games and applications, though PC connectivity is still an option for accessing titles not available on the Meta Quest platform. Its performance is on par with the more expensive standard Meta Quest 3 model and significantly surpasses previous Quest iterations.
The headset provides over two hours of battery life, with the option to purchase an external battery pack for extended use. Additionally, new purchasers receive a three-month trial of Meta Horizon+, granting access to a library of over 100 games, monthly free titles, and Xbox Game Pass.
The specific bundle currently discounted is the Gorilla Tag bundle, which includes the popular VR game. This bundle features a free in-game skin for the player's gorilla character and 2,000 Shiny Rocks, the virtual currency used within the game.
Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days sale also includes other discounts across various categories, such as 4K Blu-rays, Apple products, and LEGO sets, with the event concluding on October 7.
