Fanatical is offering a compelling opportunity for PC gamers to acquire Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, along with two other Steam games, for a mere $5. This promotion is part of Fanatical's VIP Mystery Bundle, Capcom Edition.
The Monster Hunter Stories series diverges from the action-RPG format of the main Monster Hunter titles, focusing instead on narrative and turn-based combat reminiscent of Pokémon. Players assume the role of a Rider, bonding with and raising monsters as companions. Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection places players in a narrative involving two warring nations, which takes a turn with the discovery of a Rathalos egg.
Combat in the spin-off series emphasizes turn-based battles and a more respectful interaction with the game's world, offering a distinct experience from the typical Monster Hunter gameplay loop. Reviewers have lauded the game; Jake Dekker of GameSpot awarded it a 9/10, stating it "easily stands shoulder to shoulder with some of the best Monster Hunter games."
The Fanatical VIP Mystery Bundle, Capcom Edition, provides a chance to obtain Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection. While the exact contents are randomized, the bundle guarantees at least one Capcom game, alongside two other Fanatical-curated titles. These additional games are assured to have a "Very Positive" rating on Steam with at least 1,000 reviews.
