Nintendo is currently hosting a Customer Appreciation Sale, and as part of the event, both Amazon and Walmart are offering the original Nintendo Switch Pro Controller for a reduced price of $55.97. This deal is available through September 26.
The Switch Pro Controller offers build quality and ergonomics comparable to the newer Switch 2 Pro controller. It is also natively compatible with the Switch 2 console. While the Switch 2 Pro controller is black, the original Switch Pro controller features a smoke gray design.
There are a few key differences between the original Switch Pro Controller and its successor. The original controller cannot wake the console from sleep mode, requiring manual power-on. It also lacks the two rear paddle switches, GameChat button, and headphone jack found on the Switch 2 Pro. Additionally, while the Switch Pro controller supports HD rumble, the Switch 2 Pro controller includes an upgraded "HD Rumble 2" feature.
This sale presents an opportunity to acquire a brand-new, retail-packaged Nintendo Switch Pro Controller at a considerable discount, representing a 40% reduction from its typical $90 price point.
