Best Buy is currently offering a significant discount on an open-box ROG Xbox Ally with a 512GB SSD. This particular unit is listed as being in excellent condition, allowing shoppers to save $102 off the full retail price of $599.99, bringing the cost down to $497.99.
According to Best Buy's condition description, 'Excellent' signifies that the device functions and appears like new, has been reset to factory settings, and includes all original parts and accessories. The retailer notes that the original packaging may be missing or different from the standard offering.
The ROG Xbox Ally is powered by an AMD Ryzen Z2 A processor, paired with 16GB of LPDDR5 6400 MHz memory and a 512GB SSD for game storage. Its 7-inch Full HD display features a 120Hz refresh rate.
Reviewers have noted the ROG Xbox Ally's value, particularly as a budget-friendly option among handheld gaming PCs. While the inclusion of Windows can be a minor drawback for some, it is addressable through alternative operating system installations such as Bazzite or SteamOS. The device is recognized for offering performance comparable to other handhelds at a more accessible price point, especially after price adjustments from competitors.
