PlayStation is currently offering a $40 discount on bundles that include a certified refurbished PlayStation 5 console and a recertified DualSense wireless controller. This promotion, timed ahead of Black Friday and the highly anticipated launch of Grand Theft Auto VI, aims to make the jump to current-generation gaming more accessible.
The bundle price starts at $518 for the Digital Edition of the PS5, with the model featuring a disc drive priced at $568. This deal represents a significant saving, especially when considering the total value of the hardware included.
When factoring in the $40 discount, the total value of the hardware is estimated at $723 for the disc-drive model, which is now available for $568. For the digital edition, the value is approximately $673, brought down to $518.
This offer essentially provides a substantial discount on an additional controller. While a new DualSense controller typically retails for $74, the recertified controller in this bundle is priced at $59, effectively costing only $19 after the combined discounts. Buyers can choose from various DualSense controller color options, including Sterling Silver and Volcanic Red, which may incur a slight additional cost.
The discount is automatically applied at checkout when both eligible products are purchased in a single transaction. This deal is particularly relevant for players looking to enjoy couch co-op experiences or simply have a spare controller ready.
With Grand Theft Auto VI scheduled for release on November 19, 2026, this promotion presents a timely opportunity for prospective PS5 owners to acquire their console. The offer is available until November 5, 2026. PlayStation has not announced any significant console deals for Black Friday, making this refurbished bundle a notable opportunity for savings.
