Amazon's Prime Day event is providing an opportunity for board game enthusiasts to expand their collections with discounts of up to 45% on a variety of popular titles. The sale includes classic strategy games, cooperative adventures, and party games.
Among the highlighted deals is Catan, the acclaimed resource management and settlement-building game, available for $30, a reduction from its usual $55 price. Catan's hexagonal grid and emphasis on trading resources like brick, ore, and wheat have made it a staple for game nights.
The official LEGO party game, Brick Like This, is also on sale for $13, down from $20. This game challenges teams to construct mini-models using LEGO bricks, with players alternating between builder and instructor roles.
For those interested in cooperative play, the Lord of the Rings Trick-Taking Game is discounted to $22 from $27. This game tasks players with working together to navigate the narrative of the Fellowship of the Ring, featuring artwork with a stained-glass aesthetic. It was previously recognized as a top pick in the Best Co-Op Card Games list.
Another cooperative title, Escaping Extinction, is available for $8, reduced from $10. In this game, players cooperate to build a rocket ship to facilitate the escape of dinosaurs from their doomed planet.
Kinfire Chronicles, a complex card-based role-playing game designed for longer play sessions, is offered at $135, down from $180. It features six distinct playable heroes and a library of 400 cards, with each game session designed for replayability and approximately 60 minutes of playtime.
The murder mystery deduction game, Agatha Christie: Death on the Cards, is on sale for $12, down from $22. This title brings together famous characters from Christie's novels, such as Hercule Poirot and Miss Marple, for a social deduction mystery that maintains an inviting art style suitable for families.
The Chameleon, a bluffing game where one player acts as a secret chameleon trying to blend in, is priced at $17, a decrease from $25. Similar to other deduction games, players must identify the chameleon among them.
