Amazon is offering a Labor Day restock of several rare Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG) sets, featuring popular collections such as the Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collections and Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Boxes. This sale presents an opportunity for collectors to acquire these hard-to-find items, with some products priced at or near market value.
Among the restocked items is the Pokémon TCG's First Partner Illustration Collection Series 3. This collection, part of the Pokémon 30th anniversary celebrations, concludes the First Partner Illustration TCG Collection series. It includes promotional cards featuring starter Pokémon from the Hoenn, Kalos, and Paldea regions, alongside two TCG booster packs and a sticker sheet. The collection is listed at $34, aligning with median prices found on TCGplayer, making Amazon a potentially advantageous option, especially for Prime members.
The Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions Super-Premium Collection is also available for $274.99. While this price exceeds the original MSRP, it is below the TCGplayer median price of approximately $310. This collection contains an Eevee ex promo card, an Eevee deck box, a playmat, card sleeves, and 15 Scarlet & Violet—Prismatic Evolutions booster packs. Despite a slightly lower market price on resale platforms, Amazon offers the security of purchasing a new, sealed product.
Furthermore, the Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is available for just under $125. This price point is noted as being close to the market rate, which on TCGplayer is around $120.18, with a median price near $150. Given the typical difficulty in finding these boxes at retail, Amazon's offering is highlighted as a prime opportunity for collectors.
Other notable restocks include Pitch Black Booster Display Sets for $187.23, which is under the TCGplayer market price, and Ascended Heroes Mega Meganium/Emboar/Feraligatr ex Boxes for $67.19, though these are randomly selected and slightly above market rate. The article emphasizes that while market prices often reflect what collectors are willing to pay, the ultimate value is a personal decision. It also advises buyers to ensure that products are sold and shipped directly by Amazon to guarantee authenticity and condition.
