For a limited time, the Samsung Store is offering its 27-inch Odyssey OLED G5 QHD 180Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor for $299.99 with free shipping. This price can be further reduced to $264.59 by applying the coupon code "L8AS4HAL4O" at checkout. The discounted price is presented to "select" customers, but the deal can often be accessed by reloading the product page multiple times, typically between three and five attempts.
The monitor features a 2560x1440 resolution with a pixel density of 111ppi, providing sharp visuals suitable for both gaming and productivity. It utilizes Samsung's quantum dot (QD) OLED panel, which offers enhanced brightness and a wider color gamut compared to standard W-OLED panels. OLED technology generally provides superior image quality through instantaneous response times, deep black levels, and high contrast ratios.
With a native 180Hz refresh rate, the Odyssey OLED G5 is designed for fast-paced gaming, particularly in genres like sports and first-person shooters. To fully leverage the QHD resolution and high refresh rate, a graphics card equivalent to an NVIDIA RTX 5070 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is recommended. The monitor is also officially G-Sync compatible, which helps mitigate screen tearing and stuttering without increasing input lag. The panel is protected by a three-year warranty that includes coverage for burn-in, a common concern with OLED technology.
To achieve the final price of $264.59, users should navigate to the Samsung Odyssey OLED G5 product page, reload the page until the price displays as $299.54, add the monitor to their shopping cart, and then apply the 10% off coupon code "L8AS4HAL4O" before completing the purchase. The offer is part of back-to-school sales and includes free shipping.
