Walmart is currently offering a substantial discount on Onn 512GB MicroSD Express Memory Cards, making them an attractive option for Nintendo Switch 2 owners. The card is priced at $84.77, but an unadvertised coupon code, 'SAVE3X', can reduce the price by an additional $10, bringing the total to $74.77. A 256GB model is also available for $46.77, or $36.77 after the coupon. This offer includes free shipping.
The coupon's terms indicate it's valid for the first three online pickup or delivery orders, primarily for new customers, though some returning customers may find it works. A minimum order of $35 is required. These conditions may vary, and users are advised to check coupon eligibility.
The Nintendo Switch 2 comes with 256GB of internal storage, which may prove insufficient for its growing library of demanding games. Notably, older MicroSD cards from the original Switch will not be compatible with the new console due to differences in speed. The Onn MicroSD Express cards, however, offer significantly faster performance with 800MB/s write and 600MB/s read speeds, crucial for the Switch 2's requirements.
Several upcoming and recently released games for the Switch 2 have substantial file sizes. Final Fantasy 14 is listed as requiring approximately 117GB, consuming half of the console's internal storage. Other titles with significant storage needs include Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade at 90GB, Split Fiction at 70GB, Cyberpunk 2077 at 60GB, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment at 44GB. With games of this magnitude, expanding storage with a compatible memory card is becoming a necessity for many players.
