Best Buy is currently offering a 5TB Seagate Portable Hard Drive for $169.99, a deal available for today only. This offer includes free shipping and represents a $50 instant discount on the drive. The unit is sold and shipped by Newegg, an authorized Seagate reseller.
While the drive is marketed as a "Game Drive for Xbox" and features aesthetic elements like a green LED bar to match the console, it functions as a standard portable hard drive. It utilizes USB 3.2 for transfer speeds that can reach between 100-150MB/s in real-world usage. A notable characteristic is its USB 3.0 Micro-B connection, which is less common than other USB standards; however, a USB Micro-B to USB Type-A cable is included in the package. The drive comes with a one-year warranty. Despite past instances of this drive being available at lower prices, the current $169.99 price point positions it as the most affordable option for 5TB of portable storage in the current market.
