Walmart is currently offering the Skytech Harpy gaming PC for $1,799, a $500 reduction from its usual price. This prebuilt system features an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D CPU and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU, positioning it as a capable option for 1440p gaming.
The Skytech Harpy is equipped with a liquid-cooled AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor, a GeForce RTX 5070 graphics card with 12GB of VRAM, 32GB of DDR5-6000MHz RAM, and a 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD. This configuration is designed to offer robust performance for modern gaming titles.
The AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, an 8-core, 16-thread CPU, remains a top-tier processor for gaming due to its 3D V-Cache technology. Despite the release of newer generations, the 7800X3D continues to deliver competitive gaming performance, often exceeding newer Intel processors in gaming benchmarks while maintaining lower power consumption and heat output. A 360mm all-in-one liquid cooler manages thermal loads.
The GeForce RTX 5070 GPU is recommended for high-fidelity gaming at 1080p and 1440p resolutions. It can also handle many games at 4K, though performance may be enhanced with DLSS technology. The RTX 5070 offers a modest performance uplift over the previous generation's RTX 4070 Super. For comparison, standalone RTX 5070 cards are currently priced around $800 on Amazon.
