Amazon is offering a notable discount on Sony's officially licensed Pulse Explore wireless earbuds for the PlayStation 5. Currently, used "like new" units are available for $108.04, which includes a 45% saving and free shipping. These savings are applied automatically in the cart.
The Pulse Explore earbuds utilize planar magnetic technology, a feature carried over from Sony's acquisition of Audeze in 2023. Amazon Resale provides these used items with the assurance that they "look and function as if they were new and come in original packaging." Customers also benefit from the standard 30-day Amazon return policy, offering a degree of security comparable to purchasing new items.
These earbuds are specifically engineered for gaming, featuring planar magnetic drivers that contribute to their larger size compared to conventional earbuds. This design choice prioritizes audio quality for gaming, with the trade-off being the absence of features such as active noise cancellation (ANC) or transparency mode, which are common in non-gaming earbuds. The Pulse Explore supports PlayStation Link and 3D audio for enhanced in-game spatial awareness. A USB dongle is included, allowing for compatibility with PC gaming setups.
