WH-1000XM6 Improvements
The WH-1000XM6, released as the 2025 successor to the WH-1000XM5 from 2022, features enhanced sound quality and noise cancellation. These improvements are attributed to a more potent QN3 audio processor and a total of 12 beam-forming microphones designed for superior noise capture and reduction. The headphones also offer increased comfort through hinged earcups, which allow for more compact storage by folding inwards into a smaller carrying case. Battery life extends up to 30 hours on a single charge, with a quick three-minute USB Type-C charge providing an additional three hours of playback. While older models like the XM5 or XM4 are also available at lower price points, the XM6's advancements in audio, noise cancellation, and ergonomic design are presented as justification for its premium.
