For a limited time, refurbished units of Sony's premium WH-1000XM6 wireless noise-canceling headphones are available for just $229.49 through eBay seller Secondipity. This price point, achieved with the coupon code "REFURBLOVE", represents a 50% saving compared to the new retail price of $460 and is the lowest recorded price for this model. Secondipity, described as a large Sony liquidator, reportedly provides refurbished units that are virtually indistinguishable from new. The purchase also includes a two-year extended warranty from Allstate.
The WH-1000XM6, released in 2025, is the successor to the WH-1000XM5. Sony has enhanced both sound quality and noise-cancellation capabilities in the XM6. This improvement is attributed to a more powerful QN3 audio processor and an array of 12 beam-forming microphones designed to effectively capture and eliminate ambient noise. Ergonomic refinements include hinged earcups that improve comfort and allow the headphones to fold inward for more compact storage in their carrying case. Battery life extends up to 30 hours on a single charge, with a quick three-minute USB Type-C charge providing an additional three hours of playback. While older models like the XM5 and XM4 are also available at lower price points, the XM6's advancements in audio fidelity, noise suppression, and user comfort make it a worthwhile upgrade if it fits within the budget.
