The SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds, recognized as the best gaming earbuds tested by Eurogamer for their style, noise-cancelling capabilities, and audio quality, are currently available at a significant discount on Amazon UK. The earbuds are priced at £95, representing a 41% reduction from their usual list price of £159.99. This deal applies to both the Xbox and PlayStation variants, with the white PlayStation version being slightly cheaper at £93.
These earbuds feature a color-coordinated design suitable for Xbox or PS5, along with robust build quality and a compact, pocketable charging case. The design ensures a good seal for effective active noise cancellation and a natural-sounding transparency mode. Physical buttons provide convenient control, avoiding the common frustrations of touch controls. The charging case also supports Qi wireless charging and offers up to 40 hours of battery life.
Audio performance is described as good, with a balanced sound profile suitable for games, music, and movies. The accompanying Arctis mobile app allows for customization through numerous presets, enhancing the versatility of the GameBuds.
Connectivity options include Bluetooth 5.3 and 2.4GHz wireless, ensuring broad compatibility across platforms such as PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, and mobile devices. A notable feature is the ability to maintain simultaneous connections via 2.4GHz for low-latency gaming audio and Bluetooth for phone calls or notifications, a practicality not found in many competing gaming earbuds.
The built-in microphones offer sufficient clarity for party chat and calls, making them a functional alternative to bulky headsets for casual online play or when gaming on the go. The combination of features, portability, and the current price point positions the SteelSeries Arctis GameBuds as a flexible and compelling option for a wide range of uses.
