The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Wireless Gaming Headset is currently available for $249.99 at both Amazon and Best Buy, representing a $100 reduction from its retail price. This deal applies to the Xbox model, which is also compatible with PlayStation consoles.
While SteelSeries has released a successor, the Nova Pro Omni, this earlier model remains a highly regarded option. The original Arctis Nova Pro received a perfect 10/10 score from IGN, praised for its sound quality, comfort, and innovative features. The headset utilizes 40mm neodymium dynamic drivers and supports spatial audio technologies such as SteelSeries Sonar for PC, Tempest 3D Audio for PS5, and Microsoft Spatial Sound for Xbox, ensuring an immersive gaming experience.
The retractable boom microphone is noted for its clarity, effectively canceling out ambient noise to ensure clear voice communication. Comfort is also a key aspect, with a suspension-style headband and leatherette ear cushions designed for long gaming sessions. The headband features a steel inner core for durability.
A standout feature of the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless is its dual-battery system. The headset includes two rechargeable batteries, one in use while the other charges in a base station. This allows for continuous wireless play with no downtime. Each battery provides up to 22 hours of use.
The accompanying base station includes an OLED display for information and a volume control knob. It also provides USB connectivity for PC and an optional 3.5mm passthrough for connecting external speakers. Despite the release of the newer Nova Pro Omni, which offers enhanced cross-platform switching capabilities for around $380, the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless remains a compelling choice, particularly for users who primarily game on a single platform and are seeking its unique infinite battery solution at a reduced cost.
