Walmart is offering competitive prices on essential storage for the Nintendo Switch 2, with both 512GB and 256GB Onn-brand Micro SDXC Express cards seeing notable reductions. The 512GB card is priced at $84.77, while the 256GB model is available for $46.77, both with free shipping.
These MicroSD Express cards are crucial for the Switch 2, as the console will not support standard MicroSD cards from previous Nintendo systems. The Express format ensures significantly faster data transfer speeds compared to its predecessor, with the Onn model boasting up to 800MB/s write and 600MB/s read speeds. This compatibility and performance are vital for accommodating the growing library of games that demand substantial storage.
Several Switch 2 titles require considerable space, with Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade leading the pack at 90-100GB. Other demanding games like Split Fiction (70GB), Cyberpunk 2077 (60GB), and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment (44GB) also contribute to rapid depletion of the console's 256GB internal storage. The addition of a 512GB external card can effectively triple the total available storage capacity, providing ample room for a diverse game collection.
