Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Pro Controller Available for $30 Less Than Ocarina of Time Edition

The Nintendo Switch Pro Controller, inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, is currently available for $69.99 at Woot, Amazon's discount retailer. This price point is $30 less than the recently announced The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time edition Pro Controller, which retails for $99. Both the new Ocarina of Time console and controller have faced consistent sell-outs across major retailers since their announcement.

The Tears of the Kingdom Pro Controller is also available at GameStop for $69.99, though pricing and availability are subject to change. Nintendo's official website lists the Tears of the Kingdom controller at $74.99, but it is currently sold out. This older Switch 1 model is a more affordable alternative to the newer Switch 2 Pro Controller, which has a retail price of $89.99.

While visually similar, the Switch 2 Pro Controller includes features not present on the older model, such as a 3.5mm headphone jack, programmable back buttons, upgraded rumble, and a dedicated C button for GameChat. The Switch 2 controller sports a black, gold, and green color scheme, while the Tears of the Kingdom edition features black, gold, and white with more subdued Zonai designs. The new Ocarina of Time edition boasts flashier, metallic embellishments inspired by the Triforce.

At $69.99, the Tears of the Kingdom controller represents a significant saving compared to the Ocarina of Time controller, which is priced at $99, or $109 with a display stand. Many retailers are sold out of the Tears of the Kingdom version, with resale units often exceeding $100. For those seeking an aesthetically enhanced controller for their Switch 2 setup without exceeding retail price, the Tears of the Kingdom edition remains a viable option.

Players interested in acquiring the Ocarina of Time Pro Controller can sign up for notifications via the Nintendo Store app. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is slated for release on November 5, exclusively for the Nintendo Switch 2.
